So, I'm stuck waiting in line at the DMV after I learned that I can't register my new BMW at AAA. I bought it nearly a month ago after my Camry finally but the dust. It's a 94 530i with exactly 100,000 miles. Seriously. The picture is proof. Of course I had to take that picture while driving...
When buying the car I think I may have been "curbstoned" - a form of trickery that involves posing as a private seller but selling the car as a dealer. Not exactly sure what impact that has yet but I intend to ask if I need to follow up or report these guys in some way. Anyone know anything about curbstoning?
Even still, I'm quite fond of my car and am blessed to have gotten it at such a nice price: $3,500. After the work I've had to have done to it, I'm up to $4,000 so far. I'll post a pic of it later.
UPDATE: Turns out, I did buy it from a private seller. They guy at AAA was an idiot. He told me I had to take the documents to DMV and the lady at DMV said I could have registered just fine at AAA. There goes 3 hours of my life...

Isn't "curb-stoning" what happened to your old one? ;)

I think that's an appropriate way of putting it. Haha!
